Today, Pandora jewellery is sold in more than 100 countries through over 6,800 points of sale, including more than 2,700 concept stores. Headquartered in Copenhagen, Pandora employs around 37,000 people worldwide and crafts all its jewellery using only recycled silver and gold. The company is committed to leadership in sustainability and has pledged to halve greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2030.
In a drive to reduce energy and improve the quality and consistency of light across their estate, Pandora invited us to survey a number of existing stores and put forward a proposal for their refurbishment. To minimise disruption to operations we had to replace the existing fittings on a point for point basis and we were asked to develop a low glare solution with maximum efficiency and a high colour rendering to help accentuate the jewellery.
Following various meeting’s we designed a new family of products based on a cellular format which we could scale to match the dimensions of the existing halogen downlighters. These incorporated the latest LED chips with a high transmission lens optic fronted by an anti-glare white cellular baffle. These were trialled at various locations and the feedback from the store colleagues and customers was very positive with a noticeable improvement in the look and feel of the stores. We continue to work with Pandora refurbishing stores across the country and this project underscores our commitment to delivering high quality, innovative LED solutions that are tailored to our clients individual needs.
